The Foundation for Project Research offers the following types of financial support:
- Grants to research project
of individual doctoral theses
scholarships for conference participation
- Arranging of seminars abroad with guest professors and other speakers from Finland
General guidelines and restrictions
According to the bylaws of the foundation, research grants are, in principle, offered only to individuals; no general support is given to an institution or organisation. Supported programmes shall begin within six months from the date of application approval. Delays or interruptions may result in the termination of financing.
How to apply
Grants and scholarships are approved continuously during the year. Applications shall be sent to email@example.com after which they are handled through direct personal contacts with representatives of the foundation. Applications must meet normal academic criteria.
Describing research projects
Applications for research funding support must include a condensed statement describing the purpose, time frames, and content of the project work. An itemised budget should be appended.
Individual doctoral theses
Financing of individual doctoral theses will depend primarily on the academic potential and the scholarly achievements of the applicant. Applications shall include academic records and reference letters.
Traveling scholarships for postgraduate students
Financing is provided for postgraduate students to travel to conduct research at a university or business school or to become a visiting student at another university for part of their studies. Travelling scholarships are awarded to outstanding postgraduate students on the basis of the application submitted and an interview with a representative of the foundation.
The grant is intended to cover travel expenses, living costs, and tuition. Applications should be submitted upon obtaining preliminary acceptance from the proposed host university.
The foundation organises series of lectures and seminars held by professors and business executives in the field of business administration. The topics of lectures and seminars vary, but all relate to activities or research within project-based industry. Seminars are agreed upon with particular universities and institutions.
