We are excited to invite industry representatives, policy makers, and researchers to the 2nd annual Green Transport Corridors Conference, where we will discuss how to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in the transport and shipping sector.

The conference will take place in Turku, Finland on September 18-19, 2024, at Mauno Koivisto Center, BioCity, Tykistökatu 6.

This year we will focus the first day on business opportunities from green transport corridors and the second day on green transport technologies with special focus on electrification.

The conference is hosted by PBI Research Institute and Åbo Akademi University.

About

Shipping and transport are responsible for a significant amount of global emissions and taking action to address this issue is critical. Despite the high costs and uncertainty of decarbonization investments, there are also opportunities for gaining competitive advantage from lowering transport emissions supported by a growing demand for reducing scope 3 emissions.

Green transport corridors is a framework for bringing together cargo owners, shipowners, logistics companies, fuel suppliers, and technology providers in a way that enables an economically sustainable transition to low-emission shipping.

The aim of this conference is to gather companies and organizations within the industry to discuss how we can collaborate and develop sustainable solutions for specific corridors. By focusing on one corridor at a time, we can demonstrate the effectiveness of sustainable solutions, establish best practices, and inspire others to follow. This approach can generate significant environmental benefits while also increasing efficiency and creating new business opportunities related to green fuels and electrification.

Join us at the Green Transport Corridors conference and learn how we together can create a more sustainable and profitable transport and shipping industry for the future.
